Monkey see, monkey do

When it comes to Jer, Bean is a total Daddy’s boy. No one can make him laugh like his Daddy, no one can make a boo-boo feel better than Daddy and no one can snuggle like Daddy when he’s sleepy. We’re finally getting to the point where Bean has to do everything Daddy does.

When Jer is putting on his shoes, Bean wants to put on shoes. When Jer is eating, Bean has to eat. When Jer is brushing his teeth, Bean needs to brush his teeth too. When Jer is weeping loudly during an episode of Teen Mom, Bean, well, he just looks at him like he’s insane. So, I guess he mimics me at times too.

You may have noticed from some of the pics I’ve posted that Jer loves to wear his Boston caps at all times. Bean hasn’t failed to notice this either and steals Daddy’s hat every chance he gets.

And then the pinball begins.

In order to be like Daddy, one must wear the Boston cap like Daddy, which in Bean’s case means his entire face is covered. Meaning he can’t see a thing. But, like me, Bean is determined and a little crazy. Stubborn is also a word that we use frequently when describing him.

No, he doesn’t normally wears knee-high socks with his shorts. Jeremy has a bare foot phobia with our hardwoods – you must wear socks or slippers around the house on our hardwoods. I know.

Here’s Bean sporting the cap. From here, he walks around the house, blinded by the cap, bumping into everything around him while yelling, “Uh-oh, SHOOOOT!”. (We have no idea where he learned that – we never say it.)

All in all, I’m kind of loving how much like his Daddy the Bean is becoming. I crack a lot of jokes about Jer, but obviously I love him to the ends of the Earth. He’s my best friend, my partner in life and my favorite person on this planet. Having a mini-Jer around kinda sounds like Heaven to me.

Unless Bean loves to shop like his Daddy.

Then I’m going to be broke and have major mall fatigue. It’s a chance I’m willing to take though.

Aww, wook at ‘im imitating his Daddy with his Boston cap! I love when kids have healthy, loving role models in their lives. Bean is a very lucky little guy. <3
