Thankful

This Thanksgiving I am overwhelmed by the blessing in my life. So, I am saying “thank you” for them all (or at least what I can remember at this moment).

What I’m Thankful For – 2011

My beautiful, loving, funny, intelligent, patient, kind, sexy, nurturing husband. Happy anniversary, MJ. I love you like Justin Beiber loves pants that are too tight.

My little hambone baby boy, who finds at least a dozen new ways to make me laugh every day.

Joss Whedon for creating Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

For our sweet puppies, who have been abundantly welcoming to Bean, who has completely shaken up their world. They love him as much as we do and they’ve been so patient with him (even when he tries to color on them with markers).

For my Mom, who is the best Mommy on the planet. She’s the best parent, friend, Grandma, medical reference and neighbor two guys could ask for.

For the iPhone. HOLLA!

For the safety of my family and friends through the various natural disasters this year (tornadoes, floods, earthquakes, etc).

For Eclipse gum.

For sleep. Amen.

For Bed Fans.

For 50% off all sale items at Baby GAP.

For the invention of the Diaper Genie.

For all of the women’s asses too tantalizing for Herman Cain to (allegedly) ignore.

For Cherry Coke.

For Jeremy’s father and stepmother; they are the best parents, in-laws and grandparents I could ever imagine. I love you.

For Select Comfort beds.

For Ryan Murphy creating American Horror Story and plastering Dylan McDermott’s hot buns across my TV screen.

For plasma TVs that don’t burn in an image, even when you pause and leave it on the same frame for hours on end.

For Yo Gabba Gabba. Thanks for being a really fun show for kids and not completely annoying to parents.

For DVRs.

For Bill Maher.

For always having enough to provide for my family.

For a country where I’m given so many opportunities (even though we have a ways to go).

For gummy cola bottles.

For Apple, Inc and the wealth of technology they create that steals all of my money.

For snuggles with my husband.

For President Obama.

For the fact that I can call Jeremy my husband, even though our stupid redneck state doesn’t see us as a married couple.

For an abundantly happy little man who’s full of joy, laughter and poop (seriously – where does all of it come from?).

For living in an era where it’s possible to be openly gay.

For Ella Fitzgerald and her unparalleled catalog of work.

For steak and mashed potatoes.

For zipper fly jeans. I still don’t have patience for button fly jeans.

For being able to say openly that I am in love with another man.

For music.

For Bath and Bodyworks Eucalyptus Mint body wash.

For always having a roof over our heads, food in our bellies and stable careers.

For a boss who is the absolute best. I could never ask for more from a manager.

For a soft pillow.

For coworkers who truly are family.

For clean water.

For air conditioning.

For Kelly Clarkson.

For IKEA.

For some incredible opportunities that have come our way recently (more details soon).

And, lastly, I’m thankful for those who take the time to read Pride in Life and all of those who comment and email me. In the past years, the traffic and subscriptions for PiL have grown beyond my belief. I still have no clue why but I am grateful that you choose to come back, to share with me and to allow me to be part of your lives. You are all wonderful.

Have a happy turkey (or not turkey, if you’re a vegetarian) day. Many blessings to you all.

Your little Internet buddy,
Ry
