Jer and I will be making the voyage to Denver soon. It’ll be a great chance for us to get away for a bit and see a really beautiful part of the country.
Except this isn’t just any normal vacation. Jer and I will be looking for a house in the Denver area.
Yup, it’s been a super busy few months in our house. I was offered a position within my company based out of Denver. We spent weeks talking about it and making a decision, which ended with us deciding that Denver is the place to be our family now.
The POD people came to pick up most of our belongings (the really valuable or fragile stuff is with us). We have moved in with my Mom temporarily, which is actually far more awesome than one may think. She’s the best and we love her to pieces. She’s not the normal kind of mom that’s nosy, invasive or high-maintenance. She’s very laid-back, very loving, funny and she does our laundry. YES. SHE DOES OUR LAUNDRY. We may never leave.
Only we will. And we’ll be in Denver pretty quickly. I’ll be back soon to post more about why we made the decision to leave Oklahoma and what our overall game plan is.

Denver is a great city with great people, great culture and great activities! I am sure you and your clan will enjoy it immensely.
It’s one of my “plan B” cities (along with Portland, OR, Richmond, VA, Austin, TX or Madison, WI) that I would like to live when the number of dicks (oh wait, can I say that?)that reside in Southern California outweighs the advantages of the year-round seventy degree weather!
