Bean is growing up way too fast. He’s starting to have an opinion on all sorts of things – especially his clothes. Apparently we are cruel, horrible monsters for expecting him to wear socks and shoes in the 20 degree weather. We suck.
We picked up a cute little sweater with a dragon on it for Bean a little while back. When he saw it, he said, “OH WOW!” That’s the first time he’s had a reaction over clothes. I should have known where this was headed.
He’s a dragon-sweater-loving-fool now. The sweater is perma-glued to my munchkin. In fact, tonight, after we put on our jammies, the sweater had to go back on over his PJs.
Sure, I could have said no and refused him the joy of his favorite sweater. But why would I? I sort of love that he’s developing so much personality and I love that he’s growing into having favorites. And I dare you to defy the sweet voice of Bean saying, “Pwweeeeeeeease Daaa-deee!?!” It’s, as Ralph Wiggum would say, unpossible.
One thing I can guarantee you: one dragon sweater will NOT be showing up in a baby consignment store near you soon. :)
