One of the questions I get asked pretty consistently is if Bean is actually always happy or if we sugar coat life with our little dude. I can honestly say that 95% of the time, he’s happy, goofy and in a good mood. But, with the other 5%, he really gives it his all.
I give to you: bed time Bean.

After he has dinner, he knows that we’ll play for about an hour, then we hit the bath and, after bath time, bed time is approaching. So, he’s boycotting bath time and/or bed time. When I ask him if he wants to take a bath (pronounced batch-huh by Bean), he scampers away as quickly as possible. The pic above is his normal hiding place.
While I applaud his effort and creativity, hiding next to the bath tub isn’t the best spot if one is trying to avoid a bath.
In addition to that, the past 48 hours, he’s been ridiculously whiny. It’s been out of control. He’s just like every other kid and has his good days and then his bad days. We just hit the jackpot because the good days far outweigh the bad. But we’d be lying if we said that he didn’t have those cranky days where we don’t know what to do with him. That’s just part of his age I think. He’s at the point where he has opinions, knows what he wants but is still not fully capable of explaining what’s going through his head. I imagine as his vocabulary continues to grow, hopefully the bad days become fewer and farther between. Maybe that’s the wishful thinking. :)
But, even with his saucy little attitude, he’s the greatest. And the coolest. And the smartest. And I sorta like him.
